President Mohammadu Buhari arrived Kaduna Airport at exactly 7:41 am Friday morning from the United Kingdom after 49 days of medical vacation.
Buhari, who emerged from the presidential aircraft refreshed, shook hands with Federal Government officials and a delegation of Kaduna State Government led by the Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Bala Bantex.
President Buhari after airport protocols was immediately ushered into the presidential chopper that flew him to the presidential villa.
A surprised President Buhari, who expected to see Kaduna Governor , Nasir el-Rufai at the airport had asked the deputy governor the whereabouts of Governor el-Rufai as they approached the chopper.
Speaking with newsmen after Buhari’s departure, Deputy Governor Bantex explained that Buhari sought to know the the whereabouts of the governor.
“Yes, Mr President inquired about our governor but I told him he is away and he would be back on the 19th. They have been in touch and it is not an issue. We are all happy that he is back, hale and hearty”, he said.
President Buhari has already arrived the presidential villa where he was received by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and members of the Federal Executive Council.
