… Clinton concedes, congratulates Trump pledges to be president of all Americans
American real estate billionaire, Donald J.Trump, pulled off a stunning upset, beating Canditae of the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, with 289 -218 electoral votes to clinch the coveted US presidency.
His opponent and former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, called Trump, Wednesday morning, to concede and congratulate him on his victory. President Barack Obama also called to congratulate Donald Trump and has scheduled a meeting with him for Thursday.
President-elect, Trump, who would become the 45th president of the United States, defied all predictions and stayed focused on his campaign message to make America great again by pledging to fix terrorism concerns, immigration issues and bring back manufacturing jobs taken away by foreign companies as well as cutting favourable trade deals for America.
Trump, in his victory speech, put up a surprising conciliatory speech different from his campaign stance, paying glowing tribute to Mrs Clinton, whom he said worked hard during the campaign .
He pledged to be the president of all America and called on those who did not support him to join hands to move United States forward.
Trump would be sworn in January 20, 2017.
