Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State yesterday approved the appointment of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Dr. Michael Ezeugwu Ajogwu, Chairman of the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC).
Other members of the Commission, according to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Gabriel Ajah include:

Engr. Mrs MaryRose Obiageli Abba – Member
Nwabueze Charles Ogbodo – Member
Dr Green E. Anike-Nweze – Member
Mr Nnamah, Tagbo Ozoemenam – Secretary.
The names of the appointees have been forwarded to Enugu State House of Assembly for confirmation, accordingly.
Dr Ajogwu holds a Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of California, and another Doctorate Degree in Political Science from the University of Nigeria. He is a Notary Public and lectures Law of Evidence on a part-time basis.
He served as a Director of Public Prosecutions at the Federal Ministry of Justice, and as Legal Adviser to the Federal Government of Nigeria on Customs, Excise Duties and Revenue matters covering the Northern states of Nigeria. He was the Attorney-General, and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State. He now leads the Firm in complex litigation at the appellate courts and the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
